In that last one, you say "letter" in the accusative? I don't doubt it, it's just that it seems like with most tenses
the object is not in the accusative. So with the subjunctive it is?

Yep it belongs to the present series/future series, so it follows the case usage of the present and of the future, that is, subject in the nominative and object in the dative/accusative.

Today I read a bit about advanced usages of the aorist, like the unprefixed aorist and the aorist as a resultative (as in "ვერ მიცანი?" for "Can't you recognize me?", instead of the expected present which is the English case.

Now ACC gives me another chance to understand the always tricky perfect series, and I want to grab it with my both hands. It's clear to me that the standard negation for the past is the perfect, while the aorist implies an intentional unwillingness not to perform an action. So, pushing question such as "You didn't go to school because you couldn't or because you didn't want to?" might be heard less often in Georgian because when the person wants to be clear that s/he didn't want to go to school s/he can use the aorist.

I've finished reading ACC's explanation on the perfect tense. I have to put up with that:
the perfect is a patchwork tense. We just have to get used to its different, specific
functions, almost as if they were different tenses with the same verbal form. About the
absolute X relative forms, that's still unclear, but maybe Aronson will elaborate on that
later at ACC.

As for the pluperfect, it's crystal clear, it is close to what one would expect from a
pluperfect; basically a past of the optative.

Learned how to say "in your place" (i.e. "If I were you)...

შენს ადგილზე მე ქართულს ვისწავლიდი და არა რუსულს. =D

I've finished my studies earlier today and I'll see if I have some extra time to go on
with ACC.

Yeah, I just downloaded it too. It looks like Saba and Lit.ge are having a bit of a
competition for the Georgian e-book market, which is good news for us consumers, I
guess!

So far it seems that Saba's reader is much higher quality than Lit.ge's, but Lit.ge has
a much wider selection of books than Saba.

What have you bought so far, Expug? I bought ნავიგატორი, which is a radio play by
Lasha Bughadze that won a prize with the BBC and was translated into English and
performed on UK radio with famous actors, but which, infuriatingly, can no longer be
listened to on the BBC website, and a memoir by Dato Turashvili called იყო და არა იყო
რა about life in Georgia around the collapse of the Soviet Union and the disastrous
90s, and a novel called მემფისი by Teona Dolenjashvili, which I bought because I liked
her short story so much in the English short story collection.

There are about 20 more I would happily buy, but I'm restraining myself because i) I
have no time to read them all, and ii) I'm going to Georgia again in May and I would
prefer to buy real paper books when I'm there than electronic files.

I bought one book from Zaza BurculaZe at Saba and a few ones from lit.ge, including an anthology of 2006-2007's chronicles, Alice in Wonderland in Georgian and the book Maktub from Paulo Coelho in Georgian. I plan to start with the translations before moving into native stuff.

Do you happen to know at which book by Teona Dolenjashvili one can find the Georgian original of her story at English collection? I coudln't find Zaza BurculaZe's story in Georgian, it's included in a book that isn't available as an e-book from these two stores.

=======
This morning I was chatting with a native speaker, and as I wrote some more complex sentences with subordinate clauses, he said "How well-written are those sentences!" . I don't have the log here because I used the desktop at home, not the tablet (I can't write in Georgian easily at the iPad), but he typed it in Georgian and I was very glad to see that =D
