I'm not doing too badly. I've done all the films in French and only have a few more to do in Italian. Reading is a problem, although I'm about halfway in both French and Italian. But I have to work my arse off to complete.

I've achieved what I wanted to with books and feel like I've made loads of progress,
though I think that most of that progress probably came in the first 100 books rather in
than in the second 100. I'm still reading for pleasure, but feel like I need to go back
to some more formal vocab learning now to improve any more.
I've reached over 100 films now and my listening skills have improved from barely being
able to tell where one word started and the next ended to being actually able to enjoy TV
series :) The improvement there feels far more dramatic than with my reading.
I'd love to complete a double challenge but honestly don't think I'm going to manage it.

French: near to achieve.
Spanish: 30% (both for films and books)
Japanese: 30 % films and 14 % books
Turkish: 25 % films and 15% books
This month I plan to work on Japanese and Spanish. I'd love to achieve a half challenge for Spanish and for Japanese
films, and 25% for Japanese books

French
I'm well on the way towards achieving my double film challenge for French, but only about 55% of the way on the book side. I should be able to make it, but I've been focusing on Hindi recently. My French reading has really improved to the point where it's pleasurable (with the support of a popup dictionary).
Hindi
I'm less than one film away from achieving the film part of my half challenge in Hindi, but quite a way from finishing the book half. Now that I'm focusing on Hindi, the pace might pick up. I'm not sure I'll get to 50 books, but I will definitely get close. My ability to read the Hindi script was getting rusty, and although I've only read 6.2 books, I've made large improvements. A few weeks ago, I calculated I would have to read 8 pages of Hindi per day to complete 50 books. That's now gone up to 9 pages per day, so the goal of actually finishing is getting a bit more remote. But the benefits have been great, and I imagine I will be able to complete a full challenge next time around.
Ancient Greek
I've really fallen down on this one. I don't like the audio version of the Greek NT I bought, so the film half just wasn't happening, and I have only read about 60 pages. However, that's 60 pages more than I read the year before, so I'm grateful for the push the Super Challenge gave to try it out.
Summary
French: 55% books, 75% films (of 200 films)
Hindi: 6% books, 99% films (of 50 each)
Ancient Greek: 2% books, 3% films (of 50 each)

If I listen to a Norwegian audiobook while reading it in Portuguese, can I count it as a Norwegian book instead of a Norwegian film or only as a Norwegian film?

Only as a film, as far as I understand.
You can read the text in German or French and count it as that though.

Quick question: is it possible to participate if I don't have Twitter? Perhaps in an unofficial capacity?
Also, if I sign up now, can I count the books I've read since the beginning of this year, or do I have to start
from scratch?
Thanks and apologies if this has been answered before.

You can participate perfectly officially without using Twitter :)
The current challenge started in May 2014, so you can count everything you read since then, as long as you're sure that you read it when the challenge was on. (Repeats count with no penalty)
The forum/thread might be pretty quiet. Cristina is currently improving her Russian in Siberia :D Many members are now more active at http://how-to-learn-any-language.org, though the SC thread hasn't been active there either.
