@kenny, the regular DVD's of Seinfeld have the option to change the language to Spanish,
and also to put on English subtitles.
Looking over my movies I found that at least Hot Fuzz, Land of the Lost, The Muppets,
Shaun of the Dead, and Willow all have the option for Spanish dub. All the seasons of
Dexter also have the option for Spanish dub. I'm guessing most everything else has
similar options. I'd be surprised if some DVD didn't come with the option to dub in
Spanish/French at the least. |

dandt, are you (or anybody else) planning on keeping a log? This is my only challenge outside of TAC so I'm eager to see how people plan to keep track of their progress.. |

I plan to make a list of things I watched and read and post it to http://justpaste.it/ (it's hopefully gonna be too long for one log post :D) Highly recommended:)

I've mentioned wanting to use Assimil as a book. I'm also thinking about using French in Action. I'm thinking it has more language content per minute as most films, and most of the content is regular speed French. I plan on counting 4 episodes, @25 mins each, as a single film.
I know lots of people want to add their own little ideas to the challenge, and enough is enough. However, it occurs to me that in the interest of completion, music should be included as well, but separately. So I'm suggesting that those who want to can informally track listening to TL albums. Listening to 100 albums wouldn't be that hard to do, to be honest, and it would add a great deal to your cultural knowledge. I stress that this would be an informal part of the challenge. Someone else mentioned conversation, and I think it would be nice for people to informally list their hours of conversation as well.

I've decided to track progress on a blog here - partly because I wanted to mess with WordPress and partly just so I have a record of what I'm doing. Am also happy to go with any group tracking people come up with.
Really looking forward to this - it'll be difficult I'm sure, but the results should be more than worth the effort.

oh i love the idea of what you're doing there. I've actually been considering blogging my language learning, just so I
have a better log. Perhaps I should use the challenge as an opportunity to get started.
I love your layout!

I'd like to try for Japanese. It's very hard for me to get films in Japanese here, but since I can watch the same ones several times, I suppose it could work. Of course, I might go out of my mind :)
Also, it might be very difficult with reading. My absolute fastest reading speed, on really easy books, is about 5 minutes per page. If I can read that fast and choose only books with 101 pages, I will still have to read nearly 1.5 hours a day. If the books are somewhat harder, or longer, I could easily come up to 6 hours of reading pr day.
Therefore, I will choose a half-challenge. (Of course, if I really do manage 100 of each in that time, I will deny this and claim that I signed up for a whole-challenge.) ;)
I have a TAC-log already, so I will probably just keep track there, if it's allowed.
