Of course it is! I'm certain the bot still takes registrations, and all of us would be happy for another competitor/fellow madperson!
It is only 5 days into a 20 month challenge, after all. Join us! What have you got to lose, except all your free time?

It won't be losing my time, it will be winning my time - doin' useful things instead of rubbish stuff. And there finally will be a good motivation.

For which of your many L2's are you planning on doing this challenge if you go through with it? It must be
impossible to decide!

Hmm, my decision was quite easy :P The difficulty was more about whether to sign up with that language or not and how much is too much.
Also curious about the answer, though :)))

I saw this on the bot's to-do list:
- Group all entries by one participant in the list, and use their total 'units achieved' for ranking.
My first reaction: yay, i'll have muuuch better scores! :D
my second: I'll no longer be embarrassed at those German zero's.
the third one: what about the advanced challenge? It's for those who are already fluent and want to improve, so idk if it makes sense to count us all the same way. i'd suggest counting half the score for the purpose of ranking (but of course displaying correct results :D)
Just my thoughts:)

My progress will ticker at a snail's pace for the time being. Finding source materials
in Norwegian here in Australia is not that easy, however I am moving to Denmark in
October, so will speed things up going into the new year!

It's funny you mention this, because I was just thinking about the same issue. My first instinct was to scale everything based upon the
number of target units (books + conversations + films + writings). For example, if I'm doing the super-duper writing challenge and I've
read 80, watched 20, and written 50, then I'm 50% of the way to the finish. This seems fair, because it would rank people by how close
they are to their goal. However this would bump the half-challengers quite considerably up the list, and pull back the super-duper
participants, who are definitely doing more work than the full challengers.
On the other hand, not scaling by target numbers (and only scaling the advanced challengers by 50%) means that the half challengers are
almost guaranteed places in the bottom of the list, and the super-duper challengers will soon fill up the top places. Arguably this is also
fair, and whatever way things are sorted it's comparing apples and oranges.
For most people I don't think it's going to be a major issue, but I know there are a few who are pretty competitive about the rankings. I'd
love to hear your thoughts ...
