Hi Komma,
Thanks for sharing. Keep up your reading no matter how you approach it you're learning, and
that's the
idea... persistence pays off :) |

Yes, that's exactly what I think too. I am learning for ME, so no matter how far I get in the
challenge or how fast or slow I read. What matters is what I get from it: Fun, Vocab, grammar in
use, listening skills (concerning movies) etc.

At the risk of ending this message on a very short note, I'll add a little sth else...,
If you are into courses I found Destinos (all components together) helped me immensely with
Spanish on all
levels- reading, writing, speaking, listening. It's by far the best Spanish course I've ever come
across.
Unfortunately my Spanish today is not very noteworthy, hence overcoming procrastination has been
a
particularly strong goal of mine. Nevertheless it's an awesome course... |

I'm watching the videos only becasue I don't know where to get the other material. I found
several sources but wasn't sure which one was right or the most recent edition whatever... And I
don't like buying things on unknown internet shops etc. :/

It's worth noting that under the current reckoning of a book = 50 pages, a lot more people would have finished a full challenge.

For those of you doing a challenge in French, here's the new teaser for Engrenages saison 5 and a news report about it:
Engrenages teaser
News report
They expect to release it in France in November, then it should come on the BBC 3-4 months later. Those of you in the rest of the world will probably have to wait a bit longer. But it's nice that season 5 will be available during this Super Challenge.

Thanks, Jeffers! I've been enjoying "Engrenages," and I'm still in the first season. Looking forward to have more
episodes to watch.

Just thought about sharing my stats here, as I'm not on Twitter:
'Books' are listed in pages and 'films' are listed in hours.
- Georgian really is the one falling behind in terms of reading, but I'm working on it. I'm much more motivated to keep the rhythm for Chinese, because there's the instant dictionary.
- I believe I can finish the audio part of all six languages. I'm only aiming for a full challenge in French and will keep it this way, but I secretly hope I can complete other challenges as well.
- So far only French and Norwegian aren't a nuisance reading, but I hope I will add German to the group soon. As a result, on weekends I tend to focus on the weaker languages Russian and Chinese even if I could be doing much better in French and Norwegian now.
- It was a good decision after all to add all languages to the challenge. Now I know I would have ended up neglecting whatever language was left behind.
- I'm seriously working on each language as an independent challenge. I wouldn't be doing twice as much French if I took Georgian and Russian away, that's for sure. I just wouldn't be in the mood for that.
