Hej, Kez!
Welcome to the forum!
You’re certainly still in time to join in the fun that TAC 2013 is going to be. At the moment, though, team Viking is full, but there’s a second Scandinavian team being set up in the 'TAC 2013 Organization and Sign-up' thread.
I advise you, therefore, to post your intention to join the TAC in that thread so that Brun Ugle, who’s keeping track of all the participants, can add your name.
And please, remember: if not enough participants will join the second Scandinavian team to make it a full-fledged team, it will merge with the Viking team. So whatever happens you won’t be alone in your linguistic adventures next year.
Good luck with TAC 2013!

Well, it's too late, but
anyway I agree with everybody : Julie should be
the Team
leader.. Well if you want of course!
Now it's time for my awful 10mintues of Norwegian writing!
First the 5minutes without anything : Jeg heter Mathias, og jeg bor i Paris. Jeg er
(en) student. Jeg vil snakke
norsk og vil dra til Norge. Jeg kan ikke snakke norsk ennå, men jeg vil studere norsk.
Jeg har en bror.
And now for the 5minutes with Dictionnary and else: Jeg studerer bedriftsøkonomi i
Rouen.
Jeg liker å lære språk, men norsk er min første skandinaviske språk. Som følge av det
er norsk hard. Min
bror arbeider i Thailand.
Well here it is.. It's quite horrible, but I just started so I guess it's normal!
Thanks for any correction! :) |
|
|
I corrected some of the mistakes on the word level (I tried not to change too much of
the structure, but I had
to insert a word here and there). |
|
|
Do not worry, you are doing great for a beginner! The corrections are very good. There
are just a couple of
words that I would improve further:
Språk is neutral so it is "mitt språk". And hard in Norwegian refers to something
physical (stone, wood, rock)
hard as in difficult is "vanskelig".
"Det er vanskelig å snakke engelsk"
" Det var en vanskelig oppgave"
" Det er vanskelig å forstå hva han sier"
|
|
|
Thank you two for your correction! As predicted it was full of errors, but I really
enjoyed it! So, as a result, I think I'll try to do such small texts everymonth or so
on my Log! Oh, and thanks for the explanation of "Vanskelig", I'm pretty sure without
it I'd have done this mistake over and over again :)

Thank you! I posted in there just now, can't wait to begin! It's nice to be part of a
community with people that study the same language. Good to finally share experiences
:) Buuut i'll write rest of the information about myself in my log.
I saw that there were 2 other people in Team #2 at the moment, do we have to make a new
TAC Team Thread for Team #2 and select a leader etc. ? Or should we just lurk around
here?
The 10 minute story sounded like a great idea by the way, i'll surely do it once I get
my log started here.

@Kez: If I were you I would start my log, using Scandinavian team 2 in the title for the time being, so that I
got going, but hold creating a new Team thread. So far there are so few of you, that there is a fair chance that
you will be added to this team, so the main thing is a really just to get started so that you do not lose
momentum. In the Russian thread where I am captain I have suggested that also those from team two
present themselves in our thread. Now of course the Vikings, being a more ferocious lot might fight any
intruders to the death - you never know :-) but the way I have got to know them so far, I would take my
chances .
In any event if two Scandinavian teams are created then they will still be sister teams, so it is nice to tie
bonds with eachother and get to know eachother.

@Sol Sounds like a good plan. I'll start writing my introduction in a new log today. I've
already been studying Swedish for ~4 weeks so i'll already have quite something to write
down. Momentum is hard for me to lose, but i'm sure this forum will boost my motivation
even more.
Edit: Okay, I made a log. Do I have to post the link to it somewhere?

Hi Kez :)
You can post it here if the second team does not have a main thread.

Posting it in the sign up thread, or by PM to Brun Ugle would also be a good idea!

Hej!
The second team is still too small for an own thread. I'll wait and see. But for now I
guess I could post it here yeah.
