청춘불패=Invincible Youth. Narsha, Yuri, Sunny, Hyomin, Hara, Hyuna, and Sunhwa.

Yeah, when I got RDR, at first I was like "Crap. I thought I ordered the CD, not a DVD."

Ahhh...gotcha. I hadn't seen the Korean name for that show before. I'm still confused by the name Invincible Youth, though, as I've never seen it called anything but Incredible Youth before (and I know we are discussing the same show due to the lineup you just listed). UPDATE: I just did some Google searching and found results for that show labeled both ways. UPDATE2: I just went to watch one and it does indeed say "Invincible Youth" right on the title screen. Whatever...{shrug}

I've actually got a source for IY (same source as the other shows I've been grabbing). What I meant earlier is that I am waiting until the earlier episodes to finish downloading (since there aren't as many seeds for the older episodes, so they are taking longer) then I can watch them in order.

Thanks for the tip, though. I believe I've actually got Soshified bookmarked already (and have for months), but haven't created an account there. It's annoying to see that they've got the same kind of "make x many posts for privileges" rule that Karaholic does, though (which, in my opinion, does nothing but practically beg to have the forums filled with useless posts).

Ouch. You're downloading the older episodes through torrents? My rule is, if the torrent is more than two days old, I'll go with a direct download (through megaupload or mediafire, which is offered on many direct download sites.) New torrents usually take me 30 minutes longer to download, and don't get me started on the older torrents lol.

By the way, 불패 does mean invincible. By regarding subs, they're more wrong than right, except a few of the subbing groups. When I SRS songs, I have the translation up in another tab, and I always find the translation gets the basic meaning, but they leave words untranslated as if they were never there in the first place, or the meaning just seems so off.

These torrents are fairly well seeded still, just not as well as the newer ones. Direct downloads from a good host are definitely faster, though (especially on MegaUpload, since I have a paid account there).

Yeah, I've definitely been catching translation errors in the subbed shows. It's particularly confusing when it happens on the simple stuff.

Speaker: 반갑습니다!
Subtitle: Hi!
Me: Uhh...not quite.

(That particular example has happened several times with the subbed version of Sketchbook.)

That's part of why I refuse to trust fan translations (TV subs, lyrics, etc.) enough to put them in my SRS until I get verification from another trusted source first or I already know the grammar construction well enough that translating the words involved makes the meaning obvious.

When I watch(ed) subs, they were mostly from Soshified and WithS2, so I knew they were quality subtitles, but for songs, that's where it gets bad.

I have two exams left. One is a take home which is already done, but for the other class, the exam has an essay question, and I also have a paper to write, so I really won't get much done until Friday night.

SRSing news entertainment articles is fun, but I like it better when I jump around, instead of doing one article then moving on.

I'm hoping I become less lazy and charge my camera and get a video of me speaking Korean. It may rape peoples' ears, but I gotta start somewhere.

Summer vacation has finally started for me, and work has eaten up more time than I expected. Haven't used the SRS in a couple of days...and the reviews are piling up. XD

Anyway, I chatted with one of my Korean friends this morning and a good portion of it was in Korean (30-40%.) Online Korean dictionaries really need to add some slang, because there are words/expressions that I can't find an English equivalent for.

Agreed. I have a couple slang dictionaries that help a little, but even they lack many very common slang phrases that I've come across (plus they aren't indexed, which makes them useless for actually looking up anything).
