It would be a good way for me to throw myself back into it once the holiday starts. I'm
going to the US to visit some Russian-speaking friends too. It might be good to push my
Russian back up to where it should never have left in the first place. I've never done a 6
week challenge though so would need to read the rules.

I am missing all the newbies here! Plese remember that this challenge is designed for beginners, and it is a fantastic way to see how much you can manage to study in a short time, so it is ideal for this time of the year when we are still highly motivated.

Let me see a big show of hands! We should be at least 10 from team MIR. Team Sputnik simply crushed all the other teams in in the February 6WC last year - let us keep ut the proud tradition of the Russian team here on team Mir. It doesn't matter which language you choses, but it would of course be great if several of you chose Russian:-)

GO TEAM MIR!!!

I think it's not reasonable for me to do any 6WC for the languages I'm currently
studying. I can't add up any more activities other than the ones I'm already doing, and
it wouldn't seem logical to subscribe to the 6WC just to keep doing what I was already
doing for the TAC. From what I could see in the past, many people treated the 6WC as an
opportunity for wanderlusting into other languages, and this I can't do either =D

The point of the 6wc is to push yourself into seeing how much you can do when you focus. When you start
putting some sort of study in everything you do. When you get up in the morning and listens to CDs in the
kitchen and on the way to work, when you schedule in extra classes, when you spend your lunch break doing
grammar lessons, listen to your iPod on the way home, do a couple of lessons in the evening and read all
you can in bed before you go to sleep. It opens up your eyes for the unknown opportunities of your daily
routines and your own potential.

I might try and do the 6 week challenge. I've no idea what it would mean doing though!

I would love to take part in the 6WC, however I am not eligible since my level is too high. I might do it for Finnish, but I'm undecided. Right now, I'm more focused on getting my Russian to a higher level. My dad is coming to Russia in April and I will be his interpreter. I could do it now, but I want to improve my level and impress him. (and myself).

As far as the Skype call goes, I unfortunately cannot do that either as I have a lesson at that time (teaching, not studying).
