Finally started adding sentences for Japanese since I'm nearing the 1700 mark in RTK.

In Korean, it's getting to the point where I'm understanding dramas more and more. I just need to ramp up my vocab real quick, because I think "wasting" all that time watching dramas and variety shows have helped, as I can tell what they say in dramas (it's harder in variety shows due to various reasons.)

I'm thinking for the rest of June to put an emphasis on reading and SRS in both languages, mainly so the grammar and vocab can be gained quicker.

Do you have any variety show or drama recommendations? :) I'm trying to watch more Korean
TV, but I'm at a bit of loss when it comes to what to watch. Ironically, I'm perhaps
better at understanding variety shows than dramas. I'm willing to watch variety shows
without subtitles, but not dramas just yet. Recently, I've been watching 오! 마이 레이디 and
신데렐라 언니.As far as variety shows go, I've been watching 강심장, 우리 결혼했어요, and random
other things.

As for dramas, I mainly watch what piques my interest (mainly, if the synopsis is good, has actors I like, has hot actresses, an idol actress from one of my favorite girl groups, whatever is being hyped, what's generally regarded as being good, etc.)

There are a lot of dramas to recommend, honestly. 2010 has been a good year for dramas so far. I'd recommend going to dramabeans, soompi, d-addicts, dramafever, etc. to see what you would like, because I mainly prefer the comedies.

As for variety shows, I like Invincible Youth, but for others, like 강심장 and 우리 결혼했어요, since they don't do anything besides talk, my interest is lowered greatly, even though I like the people in the shows.

I'll give you some dramas that are airing now that I enjoy, but I do recommend dramabeans, soompi, and d-addicts to look around and see what people like.

바람 불어 좋은 날(daily drama, mainly romance.김소은 was why I started watching)
커피하우스(티아라 은정, 강지환; hilarious, Mon/Tues drama)
나쁜 남자(김남길, 한가인; revenge drama; Wed/Thurs drama)

Just a fair warning, the dramas do get addicting.

Having an output problem. Probably need to look into Lang 8, not talking to Koreans in English 99% of the time, and more input. Well, this is for Korean. My Japanese has been slacking, so I'm very far from output in Japanese.

Almost caught up with my SRS reviews. Got 50-80 to do in Korean, caught up yesterday in my kanji deck, and recently started my Japanese sentence deck. I was finally smart and suspended the cards I kept failing (in the kanji deck, I just didn't learn some of them well enough and/or the month between reviews really hurt.) In Korean, I suspended 5 that I keep missing, mainly because the sentences are really long and I have 6-10 vocab words in the answer section. Well, I do want to hurry up and learn a lot of vocab quickly. >.>

Didn't do much today (had to do other things,) but finally cut some shows from my list that only had me watching just because I wanted another show to watch. I can finally focus on a few shows now and catch up on a daily drama that I'm watching.

Since tomorrow will be another free day, I can spend all day doing stuff. Probably need to read the most. I might be able to quit my job, so that'll free up my summer immensely.

I had the opposite problem the other day. I was starting to run out of shows to watch, so I actually had to go out to find more. (I had back logs of several shows initially, but I had caught up on everything but Invincible Youth). My most recent addition is Kara Bakery, but that won't last me long, with only eight 25-min episodes. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this show has Korean subtitles on the raw feed, though, which should prove useful.

Yeah, it seems like variety shows that air on cable TV in Korea have subtitles from all the shows I've watched.

I'd recommend "Hello f(x)" and "Right Now It's SNSD," both 4 eps (45+ min) and both aired a couple months ago.

Thanks for the recommendations. I've finally tapped into the videos that Karaholic has available (by getting impatient and donating instead of waiting for a sufficient post count...hehe) but I still need to get setup on Soshified, so I can access what they have as well.

Well...that and I keep forgetting that I have the entire series of Cinderella Man on DVD (which I've had for like 8 months now). I need to start in on those, too.
