Bonjour Fabricio!
Another year is here and you've got every reason to greet it with high expectations, having done so well in 2012.
Seems like your communicative skills in Russian are coming along really well and it's great to read about your
enthusiasm for French and Italian.
See you around!

Fala Fabricio!
Tô vendo que você já tá mais adiantado no russo. Basic fluency, what a dream! I've just
started as a false beginner. As for English, I share your goals of improving my skills,
at least the listening ones.

Wow! So many comments, I'm impressed! Ahahaha
Thanks a lot guys for all the encouragement, I'm sure we're gonna be a hell of a team this year, and learn so much Russian that Pushkin will smile from within his tumb. =) Feel free to come back here often, I'll be following all your logs as well!
@riff I still can't read "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" with fluidity, I get the grasp of the sentences, but it's still quite overwhelming if I read more than 2 pages at a time, not knowing a huge part of the vocabulary.
I will see you guys around! =)

Hey guys, are you reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?! It is on my list as
perhaps the first book I'm going to read in parallel Russian/English! Thank you for
reminding me.

No problem, man =) I read all of them in Portuguese, but in Russian it's still very hard!

So guys, since Cristina asked, it's time to show you my goals for this year:
RUSSIAN: (from B2- to B2 or C1-)
I can't say I'm at a solid B2 level yet because my level varies a lot depending on my recent exposure to the language, but I hope I'll be able to get to that solid B2 point during this year and maybe, with tons of luck, be able to break the C1 barrier a little bit to get some steps closer to it. I'll try to keep reading my books, and especially practicing as much as I can through Skype!
FRENCH: (from A2 to B2)
I'm very happy with my developments with French and I think I can easily reach B2 by the end of the year if I keep pushing it forward. I'll watch as many French movies as I can, finish my Assimil book and probably some other things along the way, like books or so.
DUTCH: (from A2+/B1- to B1+ or B2-)
I'm not much far from where I was 1 year ago, because I kind of abandoned Dutch on the last months and forgot a looot of things. I'll try to get it all back, and push a little harder towards a B1+, maybe B2- level, but I think I'll give Russian and French more attention.
ITALIAN: (from C1- to C1)
I just wanna maintain it and hopefully improve a little by practicing a lot with my Italian friends!
ENGLISH: (reach Advanced Fluency, improve speaking skills and accent)
I'll basically copy last year's description, because this is a long run. I want to improve my accent as much as I can. Since I'm heading back to São Paulo in february, I'll be able to attend the CoushSurfing meetings there and probably others, so that means practice, practice, practice! =)

Good luck fabricio! :D You're such an accomplished language learner already, I bet you
will leave us all in your dust this year!
