I'm doing quantity runs because it's getting annoying for me to not understand as much as I want when I'm playing a video game in Japanese.
Coffee House is great, mainly because the first half isn't like other dramas. Great OST. The latter half drags a little bit compared to the zippy first half, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Nooooo!!! Well crap...lately that has been my favorite show by far. Fortunately, I'm still behind on them so I have like 23 left to watch. {sigh}

I'm intermediate in both languages in understanding. Most likely low intermediate in production. I get my vocab from manga, articles, songs, etc.

Chatted with some Japanese and Koreans tonight. I think the scriptorium exercise really helped me out. I probably need to write a journal almost everyday and practice the grammar I'm not comfortable with and the vocab I don't use actively. Usually with Japanese people I'll say one line in Japanese and the rest of the convo is in English, but tonight was different and that's a nice step.
Oh, stopped Anki again. I just put words I don't know into a Wordpad file and have the definition next to the word. I group the words in 20s. The past couple days I fell behind on reviewing, but it's no big deal since it's stress free compared to the SRS and I end up seeing more words. It's just for me to see the words more often, as I learned that I only really remember words if I read them in actual text or hear them from a TV show/movie.

Man, I spent like half an hour translating what I wrote in English to Japanese and posted it on Lang 8. I need to do the scriptorium more. It really helped since I feel more comfortable using Japanese now.
Kara's Go Go Summer played on Japanese radio and the YT vid is up on allkpop and tokyohive. I like it way more than Jet Coaster Love.

The focus has been on Japanese for the past month. Really working on writing and it's helping me understand stuff better when I read to. The Japanese are really fast at correcting stuff on Lang 8. Aside from that, been watching Jin Season 2 and started watching Yankee-kun to Megane-chan. Naka Riisa is awesome.
That doesn't mean I'm ignoring Korean. Chatting with some Koreans on Shared Talk and I started watching City Hunter (I still lol when they say it in Korean.) Hara looks like she's 10 years old in City Hunter and it's not very appealing.
Gonna start shadowing in Japanese and Korean today. I'm hoping this will also help me take my listening to the next level.

I haven't started watching that series yet, but I have the first few episodes (and it appears that WithS2 is going to sub it, so I have that option if I choose to exercise it). I, too, find myself laughing at the Korean pronunciation of that show title.

I've been trying to work on listening quite heavily as well, as I've become very frustrated lately with my lack of listening skills. I recently finished a review pass of Pimsleur (2 lessons / day of the first 30 then 1 lesson / day of the 2nd 30) which helped a little since the course is audio-only. I've also started playing the TTMIK 이야기 MP3s more often rather than solely playing music when I'm commuting to/from work, hoping that will help get some more dialog audio in my head. (In fact, I've played the 노약자석 (이야기 제1회) dialog so many times now, I've practically memorized sections of it.)
