I'm noticing that my entries using mobile devices (iPad or cell phone) don't seem to format as well. Anyway.
The past week was kind of a waste for me for studying. I usually get more done on weekends so that's not a
big waste but a little disappointing. Basically a combination of sleep deprivation and being hooked on this
anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica on Crunchyroll. At least watching Japanese is good but to be honest
since I was so tired I mostly just read the subs and didn't concentrate too hard on the Japanese. I was told
it's really girlie and I should pretend to be a girl if I post about it... I'm too lazy for that. It's really original and
the artwork and music are really good. I recommend it. Just don't expect any male characters at all in the
story/plot.
This weekend I intend to read chapter 2 of Harry Potter and to add a bunch of vocab to my potter deck. I'm
behind on the vocab I already have but it's slowly sinking in and I need to keep reading. I still haven't started
chapter 2 of my textbook so I plan to do that too. Again I am behind a bit on it and haven't looked at chapter
1 the past week. I'm hoping that won't be too bad. I need to stay positive and motivated about learning so
I'm doing it every day and getting enough sleep is important for that. No staying up really late this weekend
and wasting 3 days getting myself turned around again next week heh.

I have the same sleep issues as you, usually self inflicted too. I know I should get rest, but the peacefulness of night is just too tempting for me to pass by.
I watch girly animes/tv shows...anything really, if it has a good plot line then I will watch it. After a while though if I start to feel real mushy, I will put dragon ball z on or something to boost my testosterone haha.
Looks like you are doing goof with Harry potter! have you come across a lot of new grammar that you needed to look up ?

Let's just say I'll have to try to turn it around next weekend and get to bed on time because this weekend was
another fail. I'll try to get to bed on time tomorrow night but I am sure my body will not cooperate having
stayed up until 2am two nights in a row.
As for Potter I don't really find grammar that makes me want to go look it up anymore. I did totally when I
tried it about 6 months ago. I was like what's this TE form thing they're doing with the verbs??? I don't
understand! There's still grammar I don't get but not so much that I have to look it up. And to be honest it
would be a pain to look it up as I don't really know what I'm looking at so that I -can- look it up. I'd probably
have to show it to someone who could identify it and then I'd be able to consult a grammar book or
something. But I just go with whatever Rikai tells me. It actually does a pretty good job with the verb part of
the grammar.
I haven't watched dragon ball Z.. It's an 男らしい anime? I'll have to check it out. I was watching a
basketball series recently and I had that on tap in case this gurlie anime turned out to be too much for me
heh. Kuroko's Basketball. I like it a lot btw.

you havent seen Dragon ball Z ? its a classic. That being said its a lot better to people who grew up watching it as a kid than it is just seeing it now as an adult. If you like action though, go for it :)

Dragon Ball was very funny until around episode #28 (right after the first Martial Arts Tournament). After that it started to become merely entertaining. Dragon Ball Z started quite well with the explanation of Goku's origin and all that but by the time they headed for planet Namek it was mostly a filler writer training camp and a repeating loop of 'yet another stronger enemy looms in the horizon'. I completely lost interest somewhere along the Cell story arch and never bothered to watch it finish nor follow the rest or read the corresponding mangas that are still sitting in a box somewhere (I bought the whole series at the time -- first and last one).

DragonballZ is not 男らしい, it's 少年向け and (IMHO) バカらしい^^
