Well it being the weekend I got caught up on the reviews. It put a lot
of stuff over a week out or several days out so I think this week will
be easier. I'm still getting the deck settled. However I still have a lot
of new terms to add from before as I was doing mostly reviews. I
also mixed in a grammar sentence deck into the vocab and it seems
good.. I prefer having just one combination deck with everything I
need to study. I really think I need the srs thing telling me what and
when to study at least for right now.
Side note. I got a new router. The signal strength doesn't seem too
different but I can post on this website using my cell phone from the
computer... Without headaches. This is nice!

Oh I had German class last night. I missed the previous class
because I was exhausted and my dad also flew in from Boston.
Anyway I missed a test. The teacher told me I could just take it next
class if I showed up early. She's nice in general and she likes me -
classes are always better when the teacher likes you :-).

I'm gonna be dropping German... /sigh. It's taking too much time out of the schedule. It sorta comes down
to that or the gym and I need the gym unfortunately. I'm way behind on srs but I think keeping up is going
to become much more possible now.

Ah well this sucks. I didn't pass the N4. I just got the results today. I was very nervous about the listening section, but I don't really know what parts I did particularly well or bad on. Here's what they sent me:
Language Knowledge (Vocabulary / Grammar) Reading - 59/120
Listening - 29 / 60
Reference Information:
Vocabulary: A
Grammar: A
Reading: B
If anyone can enlighten me on interpreting these results I'd appreciate that.

Well they give some more info I was looking over. I think a 90 was pass. And so an 88 is really close. Kind of frustrating. The class I take is pretty weak on everything except grammar. I am pretty good about making myself learn new vocab but I don't read at all or watch anime w/o subs. I'll have to force myself to read I guess. And turn off the subs.

I found a site with some japanese subtitle scripts (thanks to
someone on Crunchyroll forums.) it'd not all inclusive but it's got a
lot inclusinf several naruto episodes. I'm gonna try studying off of
that and watching those episodes. I started making some vocab for
episode 301 of naruto (whatever that one is I don't know yet). I'm
hoping to get the listening reading skills up to snuff.

Aw that's such a shame. Such a near miss too!
It looks like the thing that really let you down was your reading, since you got As for both vocab and grammar. A better score on the listening would have also helped.
You are right, you need to read and listen more. Not just because it will help if you decide to take a test in future, but because that's when things really start to become fun.

I am really sorry to hear that you didn't pass. :/
I do think that particularly listening, with your interest in anime should be a skill that you can improve fast which
will also be a lot of fun.
I found this page yesterday that offers live streaming of
Japanese TV. The animex and kids channel might be of interest for you :) Maybe try having it running in the
background and watch a few shows if you are interested in them.
best of luck :)
