Advanced Super Duper mega challenge: with fries and a large drink!
Reading002: 4 x Symposium papers on diabetic retinopathy: 26 pages of highly technical clinical Spanish. Reading001: 120 pages of Spanish reader (2 x 60 pages really) Writing 001: Email explaining my absence intentions for the year; Vietnam and Madrid Super Dooper Challenge Reading002: One copy of Paris Match = 0.2 Units at a guess. Reading001: 20 pages of Le Petit Prince (the only French book I've got) Film003: 02/05/12: Amelie: French and French subtitles: Ahhhhh. Audrey! I like my lunchtimes but not yesterday obviously! Film002: 01/05/12: Baise Moi: Yuk; very very adult not something for lunchtime ! 1. Miss Undercover (02. May, 2012) Just watched “Miss Undercover (Miss Congeniality)” as the warm-up for this challenge. I am a big fan of Sandra Bullock and have watched this movie (in English and sometimes with Mandarin subtitle) like hundred times that I can remember most of the lines. This is my first time ever watching it in German. I’m so used to Sandra Bullock’s voice that when I heard the dubbed German voice for her character, I found a bit awkward. Anyway, my familiarity with this film helped me a lot with picking up words, but since they always speak so fast in films, there were still many words and phrases that I missed. I’ll definitely watch the film again, maybe next time with German subtitle. 1 person has voted this message useful | ||||||

Doesn't Sandra speak some German ? Not sure on the quality/level I don't know good from bad German. Mine is bad.

My impression is that her German in this clip at least was quite good. My ear for accents still leaves a little to be desired, but my impression is that she sounds a little like a native speaker who has spent a lot of time in the US. 1 person has voted this message useful |
