- As previously mentioned, I didn't get to do any lunchtime study. The evening study was curtailed, so I just managed to squeeze in the following.
French
Michel Thomas Advanced French CD4-4 to CD4-6 (~20 minutes)
- A very short MT session.
Spanish
Practice Makes Perfect Spanish Vocabulary (Exercises p6-p10) (~40 minutes)
- Most of the mistakes I've made with these exercises, were nothing to do with Spanish, and all to do with my lack of general knowledge about the United States, in particular sport. I probably should've know the number of players on an American football team, but was stumped by Babe Ruth's shirt number. I hope the rest of the exercises aren't so US-centric.

Evening
- I managed to blend three different languages into my evening's study. This means I've done all 4 of my target languages in one day.
French
Michel Thomas Advanced French CD4-6 to CD4-18 (~1 hour)
- I've now completed this course. I'll continue to skip on a couple of tracks to really master the end. It finishes with the past subjunctive which ma copine says is hardly ever used. Hmmm.
Russian
Michel Thomas Advanced Russian CD1-1 to CD1-5 (~30 minutes)
- Straight after the French, I skipped back onto the Russian. I've covered this CD before, but thought it best to start from the beginning.
Spanish
Practice Makes Perfect Spanish Vocabulary (Exercises p7-1.5) (~45 minutes)
- Started into the vocabulary section properly now. It's still a bit US-centric, but very up to date in some examples. I like the exercises, as I get to practice spelling, and hopefully anchor the vocabulary.

Morning
Read Assimil Hungarian with Ease (Units 9-10) (~15 minutes)
- I'm going over the lessons again, and very slowly, as I've been checking nearly every word in the dictionary. After reading Charlmartell's article yesterday, I've noticed more about the structure of the language. E.g. Végre meaning At last, which appears to contain the sublative ending -re.
Listened to Assimil Hungarian with Ease (Units 5-10) (~15 minutes)
- Started listening slightly earlier, so I got to the first part of lesson 10.

Weekend Summary 04/07/08 - 06/07/08
French
Michel Thomas Advanced French CD4-8 to CD4-18 (~1.25 hour)
- Covered these tracks in 3 separate sessions, which were mostly followed by the Russian course. I've only two more tracks to repeat before I'm finshed with this course.
Russian
Michel Thomas Advanced Russian CD1-1 to CD1-12(?) (~2 hours)
- Covered this in two separate sessions, missing out on Saturday. It started to lash rain, and I do MT courses while walking. Not sure the exact track I finished up on.
Spanish
Practice Makes Perfect Spanish Vocabulary (Exercises 1.6) (~1.25 hours)
- I didn't do that much from the exercises, but tried to learn off all the vocabulary instead.
On a cultural note, I ended up watching,
Los amantes del círculo polar - Lovers of the Arctic Circle. Another complex film from the Spanish director Julio Médem. The Spanish in his films is a lot easier to understand than in Almodóvars.

Morning
Read Assimil Hungarian with Ease (Units 5-7) (~20 minutes)
- Even though I've read these a couple of times now, I still notice something new when I check the dictionary. I covered the Hungarian in Unit 5, and tried to translate the English into Hungarian. I could speak all the words, but not necessarily spell them.
Listened to Assimil Hungarian with Ease (Units 5-10) (~15 minutes)
- Managed to get to the start of 10 again.
