Spanish
Assimil Spanish with Ease - (Active Wave 19, Reread Units 40, 41, 64, Completed 65, 66 Started 67) (~1.75 hours)
- Decided to plough through the difficult poem on unit 65. I'll probably revisit it a couple of times. However, the exercises on the unit weren't too bad. One problem I have with the Assimil exercises at the later stages, is they are all blank, and seem to allow a couple of possible answers.
Listened to Assimil Spanish with Ease - (38-67) (~1.25 hours)
- Moved on another track and just started 67, which is about phrases that trigger the subjunctive.
Barrons Vocabulary (~1 hour)
- Did another list, with animals and verbs such as relinchar(to neigh), aullar(to howl), balar(to bleat) and rugir(to roar).

Hungarian
Read Teach Yourself Hungarian (Units 1, 2) (~20 minutes)
- Revised all of Unit 1, and most of Unit 2.
Listened to Teach Yourself Hungarian (Unit 1-4) (~20 minutes)
- I think I might skip Unit 1 on the next session. I can't get over how quick some of the dialogues are spoken.

Lunch
- My MP3 player died on my lunch, so I got nothing done. I'm hoping it's out of power, and it's not something more serious. Fingers crossed. Decided to conjugate various Hungarian verbs in my head, and practiced telling the time.

I hope the MP3 player is indeed just a dead battery; if I didn't have my MP3 players (an iPod and a Sansa Clip), I'm not sure how I would go about my language studies. At this point, I more or less require them!

Weekend Summary 26/09/08 - 28/09/08
- The MP3 player turned out to have just run out of power. I agree josht, the player is key to my language studies.
Spanish
Gramatica B1 Intermedio (Anaya\ELE) (Completed Unit 15, Unit 16) (~3 hours)
- Finished off both 15, and the entire unit 16, on Friday and Saturday. Unit 16 covered the future tense, which was easy at the start due to really covering it on the Michel Thomas courses, but got tricky when it tested classifying future requests between probability, plans, or opinions.
Listened to Teach Yourself Spanish (Unit 5-16) (~1.25 hours)
- Just got to the very start of 16. I still can't decide whether to drop this course, and switch to something else, or stick with it a little longer.
Barrons Vocabulary (~1.5 hours)
- I find learning vocabulary a relaxing exercise. Did a few more lists coverings fish (peces), reptiles (reptiles) and birds (pajaros).
Russian
Michel Thomas Advanced Russian CD4-5 to CD4-12 (~2 hours)
- I ended up doing two Russian sessions this weekend. I should've done the Spanish Assimil on Sunday, but I didn't have any time to revise from the book. As I'd a bit of time left over after each session, I switched to LIYC Russian.
LIYC Russian 1 (1-1 to 1-3) (~30 minutes)
- As I progress through the MT Russian course, I've more time at the end of each walk to switch to this course. The recordings on the course are spoken very slowly, which is a little tedious.

Morning
Hungarian
Read Teach Yourself Hungarian (Units 2, 4) (~20 minutes)
- Reread the second part of Unit 2, and all of Unit 4. I'll review this material again, as I only slept for 4 hours last night. [Which means my posts are probably riddled with typos.]
Listened to Teach Yourself Hungarian (Unit 2-4) (~20 minutes)
- Moved on a track, and listened to all of unit 4. I thought I'd get to unit 5, but this unit is quite long.

Lunch (~45 minutes)
Hungarian
Listened to FSI Basic Hungarian 1 (Units 1-2,1-2,2-1)
- I'll probably drill 1-2 once more before moving on. Just got to the very first sentence of 2-1.

Evening
Spanish
Assimil Spanish with Ease - (Active Wave 20, Reread Units 42, 43, 64, 65 Completed 67, Started 68) (~1.5 hours)
- Reread some of the units at a slighly quicker place than normal. I might progress a few more unit, than pause, and do a thorough review.
Listened to Assimil Spanish with Ease - (38-67) (~1.25 hours)
- Didn't make it through 67, leaving unit 68 unheard. I'll need to skip on a few tracks the next time.
Barrons Vocabulary (~1 hour)
- Just a couple more lists. The latest list is verbs, with lots of English cognates. I actually find these a lot trickier.
