Weekend Summary

Didn't get very much time this weekend for study. A friend came back from Denmark, to celebrate the birth of his baby boy. His wife is Danish which means he now speaks Danish (he's been living there 3 years), Mandarin (he was in China for 4 years), and French (he lived in Paris for 2 years). He's Irish, and a teacher, so he also has Gaelic (Irish) and English. Yep, I'm jealous.

09/05/08-11/05/08

McGraw-Hill - French Grammar Drills Exercises (7-13) (~60 minutes)

L-R Le Petit Prince. Chapters 1 (~30 minutes)
- Tested my pronunciation by reading this allowed. Ma copine corrected my mistakes.

DK Visual Dictionary (~1 hour)
- Tried learning a number of food terms, and food items. Thankfully ma copine was on hand to pronounce the words.

- I found my attention wavering so I switched to different material, as below.

French in Action (3,4,5) (~1.5 hour)
- Decided to watch another set of episodes to vary the study.

Michel Thomas Spanish Vocabulary Course CD4 (Tracks 8-11) (~15 minutes)
- You'll notice that I tend to repeat these tracks each morning, before moving on.

- Haven't read the Assimil in the last couple of days, as I've not move onto any new lessons. I should probably address this in the next couple of days.

- I've been repeating these lessons a number of times, and it's starting to work. I hope to be able to recite the earlier dialogues off by heart in a short while.
