Lunch (~45 minutes)

Hungarian

Listened to FSI Basic Hungarian 1 (Units 1-2,1-2,2-1)
- Skipped on the main track, and now into a lot of variation and substitution drills. This course probably deserves a lot more time than I've allocated. On this session, I just got to the first two sentences of the second unit.

Evening

Spanish

Gramatica B1 Intermedio (Anaya\ELE) (Completed 14, Started 15) (~2.25 hours)
- A very long session with this grammar book, mostly on Unit 14. A couple of the exercises very extremely difficult when picking between the indefinido and the perfecto. I'll need to review this material at a later stage. Unit 15 is about the pluscuamperfecto, the past perfect tense, and I've barely started into it.

Russian

Michel Thomas Advanced Russian CD4-4 to CD4-12 (~1.25 hours)
- I've finally reached the end of this course. I'll still stick to my single track progression, to really master the material. While the course is very good, I think it's stretching it slightly to say at the end, that you now speak Russian. It covers the verbs very well, but the cases are hardly touched. I've read that the vocabulary course will cover more cases.

Morning

Hungarian

Read Teach Yourself Hungarian (Unit 3, Start Unit 4) (~20 minutes)
- Read the rest of unit 3, and the very start of unit 4. I'll probably revise the first four units a number of times berfore moving on. The dialogues are packed with a lot more vocabulary than each Assimil lesson, and are a bit longer as well. Assimil doesn't add that much new vocabulary to each lesson, but there are a lot more lessons.
- Though they're not common I noticed a few similar words to my other target languages. The Hungarian for orange juice is narancslé, similar to the Spanish, naranja. The Hungarian for key is kulcs (Koolch), which is slightly like the Russian ключ (Klyooch).

Listened to Teach Yourself Hungarian (Unit 1-4) (~20 minutes)
- There's a little too much filler in English in each unit, but it's a bit more interactive than Assimil. E.g. "How would you ask for .."

Evening

Spanish

Gramatica B1 Intermedio (Anaya\ELE) (Unit 15) (~1.5 hours)
- I did a few more exercises in this unit. Once again, the "cómo se usa" section is quite tricky, and is blending the various tenses. A lot of Spanish books just test the construction, while this gramatica series really concentrates on the correct usage.

Listened to Teach Yourself Spanish (Unit 4-14) (~1.25 hours)
- I might only do a few more sessions of this, before trying something different yet again. I'll probably put the book on hold as well. There's too much English on the audio, and the exercises aren't that enlightening.

Morning

Hungarian

Read Teach Yourself Hungarian (Unit 4) (~20 minutes)
- A lot of information is packed into unit 4. It's a pity there isn't more corresponding audio, as I don't like guessing the sounds of Hungarian words. I tend to stress the words incorrectly. This actually applies to all my languages.

Listened to Teach Yourself Hungarian (Unit 1-4) (~20 minutes)
- It'll probably be another few sessions before I feel comfortable moving on a track.

Lunch (~45 minutes)

Hungarian

Listened to FSI Basic Hungarian 1 (Units 1-2,1-2,2-1)
- Managed to listen to at least two minutes of the second unit this time. The lunch sessions probably drift either side of 45 minutes, but I'll stick with this unless it's out by at least five minutes.

As I updated my speadsheet with the lunchtime session, I've pushed my weekly average to just over 20 hours. Yeah:-)

Stats

Here's a breakdown of the statistics,

French % 32.59
Spanish % 45.94
Russian % 10.98
Hungarian % 10.47

Avg. Hours Per Day   2.858
Avg. Hours Per Week 20.008

I'll probably let the French drift further back, and see if the Hungarian overtakes the Russian. I'll always favour the Spanish, as this is the first language I want to attain fluency in. A long way still to go.
