Morning

Hungarian

Read Assimil Hungarian with Ease (Completed Unit 19) (~15 minutes)
- After a couple of PM's, I've started to think about how I'm tackling Hungarian Assimil, and why I seem to be a lot slower getting through it. I know Hungarian is very different from the Indo-European languages, but I don't know if that fully explains it. I might try out a few ideas, or return to a few old ones.

Listened to Assimil Hungarian with Ease (Unit 19x6) (~20 minutes)
- I decided to set the MP3 player to repeat the track. This seems to make a difference, and I think I'll do this from now on. While listening to a number of tracks works for French or Spanish, it wasn't working for Hungarian.

Winner of TAC 2008

Oh my God, this is sudden, I've won. I'm afraid I haven't prepared an acceptance speech. Firstly, I'd like to that François for creating this wonderful site, and reineke for laying on the challenge. Joining the TAC really focused my language studies. I'd also like to thank my fellow loggers, who may not have been part of the TAC, but whose logs kept me on track. This means a special shout out to josht, blindsheep, ymazapagain, FuroraCeltica, tricoteuse, and others, I'm sorry if I left anyone out. I'd also like to thank my fellow TAC, Charlmartell, zenmonkey, Sunja and ElvenLord.

I'd also like to thank my patient readers, for sticking with a log that was mainly cut and paste, typo's and rushed posts. I think this TAC has reached a nice close, and any new posts I'll put into their own logs. I'm not sure if I'll partake in TAC 2009, but I wish all those who do the best. I look forward to reading new posts from Volte, Sprachprofi, Siberiano, and all the others.

Thank you again,

Daragh.

Daragh,

Impressive! And a great motivation.
I'm back after a short pause and I will be partaking in the TAC 2009, to some extent thanks to seeing what can be achieved with your perseverance and craziness.

All the best in language learning!
