Morning

Hungarian

Read Assimil Hungarian with Ease (Units 14-16) (~20 minutes)
- Just got to the very start of 16, after I slowed down reviewing unit 15.

Listened to Assimil Hungarian with Ease (Units 12-17) (~20 minutes)
- I'll try not to post about the quiet woman being annoying. Damn, I just did.

Lunch (~45 minutes)

Russian

LIYC Russian 1 (1-2 to 1-7)
- I decided to switch to this listening course for my lunch breaks. The large tape sizes on FSI Hungarian was making it slightly impractical. I might try a slightly different approach this time, and progress through the tracks more frequently.

Evening
- I've been having a think about the time I spend on studying, and my learning environment. I think I've been a little generous to myself with my times, as I'm not studying alone, but in the company of others on a number of occasions. This only applies to the active study, when I'm reading or doing grammar exercises. I might bring down my times further to reflect this.

Spanish

Assimil Spanish with Ease - (Reviewed Units 24-29) (~45 minutes)
- I've decided to review the lessons that I'll active wave in the following couple of days. After I struggled a little with unit 23, I realised I need to review them. If I followed Assimils suggestion of reading the lesson just before the active wave, it would be a lot easier, but this doesn't feel like testing the material to me. The lesson would be in my short term memory, and not something I'd actually learned.

Listened to Assimil Spanish with Ease - (24-54) (~1.25 hours)
- I might alternate between the passive and active wave lessons on subsequent days.

Gramatica B1 Intermedio (Anaya\ELE) (Started Unit 23) (~30 minutes)
- Did the first couple of exercises on this new unit covering conjunctions expressing consequences such as así que, de manera que, etc.

[Edit - Changed Unit 22 to 23. Keeping an accurate log is quite tricky.]

Morning

Hungarian

Read Assimil Hungarian with Ease (Units 16-17) (~20 minutes)
- Reviewed all of lessons 16 and 17. I might review 17 again in it's entirety again tomorrow, as I managed to hear it on the following listening session. I think the twenty minutes I spend in the morning, is an actual twenty minutes, as I'm alone, though I am eating breakfast.

Listened to Assimil Hungarian with Ease (Units 13-18) (~20 minutes)
- As I still haven't removed the duplicates tracks, I hear lesson 17 twice, and 18 almost twice.

Lunch (~45 minutes)

Russian

LIYC Russian 1 (1-3 to 1-8)
- I skipped ahead a track, and I'm thinking of doing that each session. I might go through through the first 6 CD's, and then start all over again; a bit like an audio version of spaced repetition.

[EDIT - I must be really tired, as I keep spotting silly mistakes in this post. I hope I haven't written rubbish elsewhere on the forum.]

Evening
- This time I was studying alone, so the times are very accurate, though slightly lower. I didn't to my usual evening walk, so no passive listening session.

Spanish

Gramatica B1 Intermedio (Anaya\ELE) (Finished Unit 23, Started 24) (~50 minutes)
- Finished off the unit on the conjuctions of consequence. It slightly annoyed me, as a couple of exercises had possible answers in the answer key, which makes correcting yourself very difficult. My other grievance was a lack of explanations. The book is very good at explaining, "como se usa", but this was missing for the differences between "así que" and "o sea que", which featured on an exercise.
- Unit 24 is extremely long, with pages of explanation covering the subjunctive. I had a quick look ahead, and the next couple of units are all on the subjunctive.

Read\Listened to Read and Think in Spanish. (~90 minutes)
- A bought this book a couple of years ago, and managed to relocate it last night. It's brilliant. Basically, it's a series of articles, in Spanish, about the Spanish speaking world. A huge number of the articles are also featured on the CD, and spoken quite quickly. I think each article has been recorded by a different speaker from that part of the world. A vocabulary key at the side explains the words in bold.
- The thing I really like is that you are learning facts about the country, its traditions, its history or its famous personas, with a lot of country specific vocabulary.
- I just found a link which shows exactly how it looks here. I'm very tempted to subscribe to their magazine.

Morning

Hungarian

Read Assimil Hungarian with Ease (Units 17-18) (~20 minutes)
- Reviewed 17 again, as it has tons of footnotes, before moving onto 18. I'm very tempted to overlearn the current selection, before completing 18 and moving onto unit 19.

Listened to Assimil Hungarian with Ease (Units 13-18) (~20 minutes)
- Heard all of 18 twice this time.

Lunch (~45 minutes)

Russian

LIYC Russian 1 (1-4 to 1-10)
- I've now hit the start of the numbers again. I remember reading a post about the accent, and it seems like a normal Russian accent. The recording is spoken very slowly, which means the soft sign is very clear for 5 пять, 6 шесть, 9 девять, 10 десять, 11 одиннадцать, 12 двенадцать, etc.
