Morning

Hungarian

Read Teach Yourself Hungarian (Unit 3) (~20 minutes)
- Read through unit 3, and decided to redo a couple of exercises. I've done them before, but that's been a good while ago.

Listened to Teach Yourself Hungarian (Unit 2-5) (~20 minutes)
- I ended up listening to the very beginning of unit 5.

Lunch
- I didn't get a lunch break today, so I got nothing done. Annoying.

30/09/08 (Evening) - 01/10/08

- Didn't do my normal walk session on Tuesday evening, as I picked up a virus. This meant I was out of work yesterday, and completely housebound as well. Very annoying. I still have it today, and my work collegues are trying to chase me home. However, I still managed the following,

Spanish

Gramatica B1 Intermedio (Anaya\ELE) (Completed Unit 16, Unit 17, Started 18) (~3.5 hours)
- Did this on the two separate evenings. I'd to take it very slowly yesterday, as my head was very fudged, and I was prone to silly mistakes.

Barrons Vocabulary (~2.5 hours)
- Ploughed ahead with a few more lists.

Morning

Hungarian

Read Teach Yourself Hungarian (Unit 3, 4, 5) (~20 minutes)
- Read the very end of unit 3, most of Unit 4, and then the start of the first dialogue on 5.

Listened to Teach Yourself Hungarian (Unit 2-5) (~20 minutes)
- Just got to the first two sentences on Unit 5. I wasn't able to concentrate as much as I'd hoped, probably due to this frustrating illness.

Lunch (~45 minutes)

Hungarian

Listened to FSI Basic Hungarian 1 (Units 1-2 x 2)
- I decided to change tactics, so I set the second tape of unit 1 to loop. This meant I really covered the pronunciation. I might repeat this again tomorrow with the third tape.

Week and Weekend Summary (02/10/08 - 05/10/08)
- This virus had me out of work again on Friday, and house bound for the majority of the time. This meant my study has fallen quite a bit behind my normal routine. I did manage to get some study done, but it's happened at a slower pace than I'd hoped.

Spanish

Gramatica B1 Intermedio (Anaya\ELE) (Completed Unit 18, Started 19) (~2.5 hours)
- Similar to the the last comment, I found myself going through this at a slower pace than normal.

Barrons Vocabulary (~1 hour)
- It took me an hour to learn one simple list, which should've taken half the time.

Penguins Spanish Short Stories (~30 minutes)
- I haven't read this parallel text in a while. I'm really starting to notice improvements in my Spanish, as I don't need to look at the translations as much as I use to.

Russian

Michel Thomas Advanced Russian CD4-7 to CD4-12 (~1 hour)
- I think I started a track ahead of where I was meant to, but probably won't go back at this stage. I covered 8 twice, as I did a twenty and than a forty minute session, on two different days.

LIYC Russian 1 (1-2 to 1-5) (~30 minutes)
- After the MT Russian was complete yesterday, I switched to this course on my walk. I've skipped the first track as it's vey slowly and very basic.

Morning

Hungarian

Read Teach Yourself Hungarian (Unit 4, 3) (~20 minutes)
- Finished off where I was on unit 4, and than skipped back to the start of unit 3. There is a lot of vocabulary packed into each lesson, but not very much audio. Even with the drilling of the FSI Hungarian pronunciation, I don't like uncovering new words that I haven't heard.

Listened to Teach Yourself Hungarian (Unit 2-5) (~20 minutes)
-Yet again, I just tipped onto Unit 5.

Lunch (~45 minutes)

Hungarian

Listened to FSI Basic Hungarian 1 (Units 1-3 x 2.5)
- Moved onto the third tape on unit 1, and set it to loop. I'll probably do one or two more repeat sessions of this tape. It feels slightly like a Michel Thomas course, with the English first and than your translation to follow.
