Glad I managed to study in the middle of an extended holiday.
book2
შორს არის ფოსტამდე? Is the post office far from here?
The Georgian sentence doesn't have the word 'here', შორს means 'far from' and ფოსტა has the postposition (ა)მდე, i bet it means until, up to?
ბარათისა და წერილისათვის. For a card and a letter.
Are card and letter both using the extended genitive form? ბარათისა makes sense because it is before და.
Lerhbuch der Georgischen Sprache 04
Little trouble so far. I don't even bother checking the dialogue's translation in German, only the explanations about each new word.
I'm doing some simple exercises (like, put everything in the genitive) orally. I'm used to the exercises, they aren't taking me that much long. They're forcing me to read in the Georgian script even words I'm used to.
- On Saturdays would be შაბათით, right? On a Saturday night, შაბათს საღამოთი?
- Which verb form is correct?
ან გივი ან გივის და აკეთებს სადილებს.
ან გივი ან გივის და აკეთებენ სადილებს.

book2 is good but neverending...I wouldn't be surprised if I finished Lehrbuch der Georgischen Sprache before it. I'm currently on book2's Lesson 60 and there are still 40 left, at the rythm of one lesson a day from monday to friday except bank holidays.
მსურს is a tense/verb form of მინდა or a verb on its own?
რამდენი შემიძლია მოვხსნა? How much money can one withdraw?
The word for 'money' isnt' in the Georgian sentence.

How would I say in Georgian:
"About whose book does he write a review?"

Today's book2 was a bit slly, all made of statementes like "The first month is January, the second month is February" and so on until December. I didn't bother paying attention. Fortunately a more useful one is coming up tomorrow.

Since I don't have the answer key for Lehrbuch der Georgischen Sprache, I'd be glad to have some proofreading on those:
სტუდენტები გერმანიიდან თბილისამდე მოდიან.
მასწავლებელი დაფაზე ახალ სიტყვებს წერს.
ჩვენი სახლს უკან დიდ ბაღია.
ლექციას შემდეგ სტუდენტები კინოში მიდიან.
ჩემი ძმა ცხოვრობს ერთ პატარა სოფელი ბათუმის და ფუთის შორის.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think these are the mistakes you've made:

Yeah, it doesn't have the word 'here', but you could add it: 'შორს არის აქედან ფოსტამდე?'
(ა)მდე means until, up to, that's right.

Yeah they do, but I don't know the reasons.
Quote:

|
On Saturdays - შაბათობით. Other one's right.
Quote:
ან გივი ან გივის და აკეთებს სადილებს. |
|
|
This form is correct.
Quote:
მსურს is a tense/verb form of მინდა or a verb on its own? |
|
|
It's a verb on its own. It's formed from 'სურვილი' - wish, desire.
Quote:
რამდენი შემიძლია მოვხსნა? How much money can one withdraw?
The word for 'money' isnt' in the Georgian sentence. |
|
|
Although it doesn't sound gramatically correct, that's how we usually say:
ფული რამდენი შემიძლია მოვხსნა?
Quote:
"About whose book does he write a review?" |
|
|
ვისი წიგნის შესახებ წერს რეცენზიას?
...
Tixhiidon's corrections are all right except this typo:
მექხიის - ლექციის, and
ბათუმსა და ფოთს შორის.

Thanks a lot, Murdoc, all clear. Now I hope to avoid those mistakes about case endings, because they're not hard at all when compared to verbs =D But that has to come with practice. It does start to make more sense now.
